Thieves Cleaner is my all time favorite cleaner. It works great, smells amazing, and best of all: It’s Safe!! I can use it on all my surfaces and not have to worry about the kids touching it, and the cats or dog licking it.... or the kids licking it. 🤪
I made reusable cleaning wipes awhile back using microfiber cloths, and they worked great! However, I somehow got out of the habit of replenishing them. This time, I decided to use disposable wipes, when I could make a batch that would last longer and take up less space. Only about 10 microfiber cloths would fit in my container. Enter coffee filters!
I drink coffee frequently, but being the only one drinking it in my household means my handy Keurig is all I need! I don’t have a use for coffee filters anymore, but I did have some hanging around in my cupboard from back in the day. This is the perfect way for me to use them up! They are more durable than regular paper towels, and I can use one wipe to clean several areas.
To make my wipes, I combined 1 cup of water with 2 capfulls of thieves cleaner (approximately 20mls), a good squirt of Witch Hazel, and I added 10 drops of Orange essential oil just because I like it and it is a good cleaner, and stirred to combine. I put my coffee filters (about 25 or so?) in an old baby wipes container I had around my house. Poured the liquid over the filters and let them absorb, and voila!
We use these to wipe down our cell phones and tablets, light switches and door handles, keyboards... pretty much anything that gets a lot of touch action that might not get wiped down as often as it should. You can also keep a pack in your car to wipe down the steering wheel, dashboard, radio etc, or keep some in your purse for whipping down shopping carts!
