Mona, Utah, USA

Young Living Lavender Farm and Distillery

The Young Living Lavender Farm and Distillery is an iconic lavender farm, not only to Young Living but also to the essential oil movement and the wellness community. This lavender farm is just a short drive from Young Living Global Headquarters and is home to events such as the Lavender Day festival, the Essential Oils and Animals Conference, and more.

Farm Fact: The Mona lavender fields and farm span nearly 1,600 acres, and the location is home to one of the largest privately-owned essential oil distilleries in the world.  This is where Young Living has compiled one of the most extensive libraries of horticultural data related to aromatic plant production in the world, with the information on harvesting, testing, and much more.

Tabiona, Utah, USA

Skyrider Wilderness Ranch

Nestled in the hills of Tabiona, Utah, and home to stunning vistas and wildlife, this farm was close to Gary Young’s heart. It’s a location where Young Living’s unique einkorn grain can grow, as well as a place where research is performed on distillation methods and new botanicals.

Located near Young Living’s Skyrider Wilderness Ranch, the Skyrider River Ranch is beautiful land dedicated to furthering essential oil research. The ranch grows many botanicals for essential oil production and research.

St. Maries, Idaho, USA

St. Maries Lavender Farm and Distillery

The St. Maries Lavender Farm is where everything started. In 1992, Gary Young brought lavender seeds from Provence, France, and planted them on the 200 acres of land that now make up this beautiful farm. 

The St. Maries Lavender Farm was established on land that had never been exposed to chemical pesticides or man-made fertilizers. Young Living’s Seed to Seal® standards honor these origins, shaping the agricultural practices we use to not only sustainably cultivate botanicals but also to protect botanicals, wildlife, and landscapes.

Highland Flats Tree Farm and Distillery

Located in scenic Naples, Idaho, the Highland Flats Tree Farm is home to some of the beautiful evergreen trees that help Young Living produce many coniferous essential oils. This location is not only a blue spruce farm but is also home to one of the world’s largest essential oil distilleries.

Fort Nelson, BC, Canada

Northern Lights Farm and Distillery

In 2014—after scouting and research to find the best possible location—Young Living purchased land in British Columbia, Canada, for the Northern Lights Farm. The pristine land remains free of synthetic chemicals and fertilizers, thanks to its relatively untouched nature prior to Young Living’s ownership.

Farm Fact: This farm is a key source of Black Spruce essential oil, an important oil in many popular blends, including Shutran™, Harmony™, Awaken™, and Envision™.

Big Island, Hawaii, USA

Kona Sandalwood Reforestation Project

Young Living’s partnership with the Kona Sandalwood Reforestation Project is a great example of how Young Living and their partners strive to preserve cultural values.

At this location, only dead or dying sandalwood is harvested to maintain the ecological balance on the island and to follow the deeply rooted Hawaiian belief in humans’ respectful relationship with the land.

Labbeemint Partner Distillery has been producing world-class mint oils at its family-run facility since the 1940s.

Finca Victoria Farm

The Finca Victoria Farm comprises 2,400 acres of rich farmland, with 50 groves of hand-tended fruit trees. Fresh lime and grapefruit rinds are cold-pressed on-site to produce essential oils of the highest quality. Because this farm is a zero-waste facility, every portion of the remaining fruit goes to good use.

Arabian Frankincense Distillery

The limestone cliffs of Oman’s Dhofar Mountains provide the perfect environment for the frankincense tree to grow Omani Sacred Frankincense resin. The Boswellia sacra trees in this region carry a rich history, having been harvested for the past 5,000 years. Today, their resin is harvested by the same method and on the same schedule as their ancestors performed thousands of years ago, continuing this centuries-old story.

Taiwan Cooperative Farm and Distillery

This cooperative farm is actually made up of smaller individual farm operations that each focus on different oils. Like each unique operation, each oil has its own story and background that include its preservation, generational history and family significance, and the ingenuity and innovation necessary to create it.

Happy Pili Tree Farm and Distillery

Chosen as a partner farm because of its ethical and conscientious harvesting methods, the Happy Pili Tree Farm is Young Living’s main supplier of Elemi essential oil. With expertise on how to legally and sustainably source this precious plant and provide fair wages to workers, the farm protects natural resources and helps ensure long-term viability of high-quality Elemi essential oil. The farm has also vertically integrated the production process by building a distillery on site, keeping job opportunities and expertise within the community.

Simiane-la-Rotonde Lavender Farm and Distillery

Young Living’s Simiane-la-Rotonde Lavender Farm is located in charming Provence, a region of France renowned for its beauty, fragrant lavender fields, and summer-long festivals. Because of its history and breathtaking views, this farm has become a popular destination for essential oil lovers, artists, and visitors looking to breathe in the captivating spirit of the special location.

Split, Croatia

Dalmatia Aromatic Farm and Distillery

Dalmatia’s striking, and historic landscape reflects its deep cultural roots and makes an ideal home for the botanical helichrysum. That’s why this farm was founded with the intention of becoming a sustainable source for the popular Helichrysum oil, but the location has since continued to grow and cultivate even more botanicals.

Farm Fact: Rocks were transplanted to the helichrysum farm to replicate the natural growing conditions of the previously wild-crafted plant.

Balkan Botanical Farm and Distillery

Located in Bulgaria, one of the most valued rose-growing regions in the world, the Balkan Botanical Farm specializes in roses and has expanded its essential oil farm offerings to include Roman chamomile and valerian as part of its partnership with Young Living. The Balkan Botanical Farm builds upon the deep history and worldwide recognition of botanical farming in the region.

Farm Fact: The Balkan Botanical Farm is also involved in promoting local cultural events, regional festivals, and educational opportunities for workers and their families.

Almaden de la Plata, Seville, Spain

Vida de Seville Distillery

Located in Almaden de la Plata in Seville, Spain, less than an hour away from Seville city, this distillery crafts some essential oil favorites—Cistus, Frankincense, and Myrrh. This partnership allows Young Living to sustainably keep up with the demand for these popular essential oils. 

The local workers also go above and beyond to use sustainable methods as they handpick wildcrafted cistus in the Sierra Norte Nature Park. Their distillation process and zero-waste practices furthers efforts to sustain the land and produce the highest-quality products!

Darwin, Australia

Outback Botanical Reserve and Distillery

Australia’s Northern Territory outback sets the stunning backdrop for this location’s Australian cypress pine trees. Drawing on ethnobotanical use in the aboriginal pharmacopeia, the founder of the Outback Botanical Reserve actually stumbled upon a new, now patented method of distillation that resulted in the unique Blue Cypress essential oil. This oil’s many benefits are still being researched to this day.

Kununurra, Australia

Down Under Sandalwood Farm and Distillery

While this farm is headquartered in Kununurra, the sandalwood plantations extend across Australia’s tropical northern outback. The Down Under Sandalwood Farm developed its own seed orchards, which allows for continual improvement of the seed stock. This location uses a remarkable approach to producing and cultivating sandalwood trees with the industry’s highest quality, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.

Amanzi Amahle Farm and Distillery

Headquartered in the Witwatersrand hills of South Africa, the Amanzi Amahle Farm and Distillery works with local growers throughout the region to produce some of Young Living’s most popular essential oils. 

This partnership provides the valuable instruction and resources smaller farms need to produce high-quality essential oils, while also dedicating efforts to conscientious treatment of the people, land, and resources.

Kalipay Coconut Farm

The Kalipay Coconut Farm is located in the lush, tropical landscape of the Philippines. Kalipay provides Young Living with our main source of coconut oil. We chose Kalipay because it shares YL’s passion for giving back and supports communities by donating a portion of its profits every year to help fight generational poverty through education, leadership, and technology scholarship programs. The Kalipay Coconut Farm also uses green chemistry, a new discipline that helps to use resources efficiently and eliminate waste in the production process.

Tatham, Australia

Gihndagun Farm

As YL’s newest producer of Tea Tree essential oil, Gihndagun—which means “respect the earth”—boasts 100 acres of rich soil that is cultivated with all-natural tree biomass, wood chips, and naturally derived fertilizer. Crops are nourished with captured and reused irrigation water, as well as with licensed water accessed from a natural creek and river. We are proud to partner with a farm that is dedicated to sustainability practices and socially conscious principles, and which contributes to our globally recognized essential oil expertise.

Reggio Calabria, Italy

Bella Vista Farm

The Bella Vista farm is located 20 miles outside the city of Reggio Calabria on the western coast of southern Italy—an ideal spot for bergamot to thrive. The farm uses best practices to ensure quality and purity of their Bergamot as they work to meet the demand for this popular citrus oil. They also take full advantage of the sunny climate—the farm’s buildings rely 100 percent on solar energy during the off season. The Bella Vista Farm is a firm supporter of fair-trade principles by incorporating practices such as transparency and accountability, non-discrimination, and respect for the environment.
