April 2021 Newsletter

You know what they say – April showers bring May flowers!

If you're expecting some rainy days this month, use your time stuck indoors to freshen up all the nooks and crannies of your home with a deep spring clean! You can use essential oils to freshen up linens and closets, provide a deep clean with DIY cleaning recipes, and immaculately polish various surfaces.

Don't bother reaching for those harsh store-bought cleaners anymore because you have a tried-and-true arsenal of essential oils at your fingertips!

You can use essential oils in endless ways...

Cleaning with essential oils is one topic that never goes out of style. There are many more ways to use and love oils, but there is nothing more satisfying than achieving a deep clean with products you can be proud to use in your home.

Take the hard work out of chores and try tackling household jobs with essential oils!

Combine 3 drops of Jade Lemon™ Essential Oil Blend with half a capful of Thieves™ Household Cleaner and 1 cup of white vinegar in the bottom of your dishwasher and run a cycle without soap or dishes whenever your machine smells musty.

Shine up the stove in a flash! Add a few drops of Thieves Essential Oil Blend to a cupful of water and inhale the warm, spicy scent as you wipe away stuck-on stovetop messes. If you have stainless steel trim, try polishing it with Lemon Essential Oil.

Outwit unwanted odors. Add a few drops of Citrus Fresh Essential Oil Blend to cotton balls and tuck them into sock drawers, the bottoms of trash cans, gym bags, and shoe closets for a spring-approved aroma. This turns out really refreshing and even works in DIY linen sprays.

Put a drop of Peppermint Essential Oil on a damp washcloth as you wipe down all of your kitchen counters. This is especially useful after cooking strong-smelling foods, such as fish or curry.

Try adding a drop of Bergamot Essential Oil on a washcloth for a finishing shine after you scrub down bathroom and kitchen faucets. Try this on cabinet hardware and light fixtures too! It will keep its shine for a long while.

Speaking of Lemon, it makes a great polish for stainless steel. I regularly use it on my refrigerator doors, the microwave, and the dishwasher front. I find that I can use it straight from the bottle on a dry cloth and it shines up in no time at all. A little goes a long way and the lemony aroma smells cheery and bright in the kitchen afterward.

Did you know Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil is disliked by pesky insects? Try spritzing it across exterior doors, window sills, and gaps in the baseboards. For an extra kick, mix some Peppermint in it too.

Combine 10 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil with 6 ounces of water, 2 ounces of witch hazel, and 9 drops of Lemon in a glass spray bottle for a linen spray that gives an energetic kick of scent to bath towels and rugs!

What are your all-time favorite essential oils

CLEANING RECIPE

This is an amazing recipe for cleaning your entire bathroom!

It's all-natural, safe, and will leave your bathroom looking and smelling great.

You can change up the essential oils you pick based on what you like the most. Jade Lemon and Thieves do a powerful job!

INGREDIENTS

½ – 1 full cup baking soda
2 caps of Thieves Household Cleaner
1 – 5 tsp water to form a thick paste
5 drops Jade Lemon Essential Oil
5 drops Thieves Essential Oil Blend

Mix up a batch to your desired consistency and rub it around your entire tub, sink faucets, tile grout, toilet bowl, hard water stains, and stubborn soap scum.

Allow it to sit for about 20 min for stubborn grime. Use your favorite scrubbing pad and a spray bottle filled with water to dampen the dried-on mixture until loose and watch it sparkle as you wipe it clean!

Say hello to fresh and clean!
